a bummer day

Wow, we had a really unproductive day. Hopefully it's just the weather that has brought out a defiant steak in the kids, but today was one for the books. Moving forward, here are a few notes for the week and tonight's homework.

Tomorrow brings us our symphony field trip. We will be leaving school at 10 and returning around 12:30. Students were informed in class that they will need a sack lunch on Tuesday.

Prior to leaving for the symphony trip, we will be taking a biome test. Students are free to use thier study packets for this test. I will be collecting the study packets to grade after the test. (Please see Friday's post if you are unsure as to what the study packet needs to include.)

We completed the work on our mission reports in class today. Students worked on dedications, tables of content, title pages and a final map of all the California missions. They have taken the materials home are must return them organized to class no later than Wednesday of this week.

Reading Logs and Independent Reading Contracts went home in the red folders today. Students were briefly given information as to how they can complete the Contract, and I will review it in depth on Tuesday afternoon. Completed contracts will be due the final week in March, but if students complete them earlier they are more than welcome to submit them.

Finally, I am taking this week as a math review week. We seem to have hit a wall with testing and I don't want to move forward until I am assured with the class' comfort levels. Therefore, there will not be a math test this week.

Respectfully, Mr. B
