I was hoping today was Friday....

Howdy all. Class has been a very different experience this week after being out of the room for two weeks. The kids seem more excitable, and quicker to erupt. Hmm, something that week's vacation was undoubtedly responsible for. Hopefully things mellow out in time for a pleasant Friday.

The kids are responsible for the following tonight:

-math 54 (all)
-reading practice book pages 175 & 177
-cursive packet, letter U (packet due Friday)
-math poem (if they dare)
(There are no tests tomorrow, so please don't stress.)

Friday is the last chance to submit Student Leadership speeches for consideration.

Respectfully, Mr. B

Happy mid-week!

Howdy all, the kids are responsible for the following tonight:

-Reading Log
-Math lesson 53 (all)
-Science reade, pages 10-13
-Cursive packet, letter T
-library books are due Thursday

Just as a reminder, students who submitted permission slips to run for the leadership committee must have their written speeches submitted to me no later than Friday of this week. Voting will take place next week.

Ruby Tuesday

Howdy all. Mission research and writing is underway. Again, the majority of this work will take place in class, so please don't fret if you don't see it coming home that often. We also have a very lively science experiment underway as students attempt to make a lightbulb light with a wire, a battery, and a bulb. Very aggrivating for some, but thrilling all the same.

Students are responsible for the following work tonight:

-Reading Log
-Math lesson 52, problems 1-15
-Venn diagram of two items, people, pets from home. Kid's choice!
-Reading practice book pages 178-179
-Cursive packet, letter S

Respectfully, Mr. B

welcome back

Howdy all. What a day. We are already knee-deep in new material for the week. We began our mission reports today, and will continue working on them in class over the next three weeks. Extra credit work will extend with this project over the winter break. Details will follow. We are also back into the thick of science, and will be experiment with circuits tomorrow and Wednesday. Our SPECTRA artist-in-residence begins working with us this Friday. And, the 6th graders are gone all week at science camp....it's very quiet around here ( I wish!).

The students are responsible for the following tonight:

-Green Folders
-Reading Log
-Math 51 (all)
-Reading Practice Book pages 181 -183 (We have spelling words this week!)
-Cursive packet, letter R

Respectfully, Mr. B
