Thursday & Friday

Howdy all, and thanks for checking in. We've got some ground to cover still this week, and the kids have several deadlines looming. They should have the following ready for tomorrow:

Fourth:

- Saxon 27
- Reading Practice Book p 89

Fifth:

- Saxon 27
- Reading Practice Book p 73

Each grade should be prepared for their spelling quiz and have their Kingdom writing rough drafts. Students who did not turn in their nature logs today will need to do so Friday.

Respectfully, Mr. Bryant

Wednesday

Howdy all, and thanks for checking in. I know we haven't even gone on the deYoung trip yet, but wanted to make the fourth grade parents aware of November's trip to Mission San Juan Bautista. I will not be attending this trip, but am still looking for drivers and chaperones to accompany Mr. McMillan's and Mrs. Davis' classes as they visit and explore this unique part of California history. Permission slips will be going home at Parent Conferences next week.

The students are responsible for the following tonight:

- Saxon 26
- Mrs. Mitchener's Problem o' the Week
- Nature Log writing (combining bird observation with research facts)

Respectfully, Mr. Bryant

Monday

Howdy all, and thanks for checking in. We've got a big week in front of us. Kids will be polishing up their kingdom writings for peer edits, delving into Spanish explorers, multi-tasking two math curriculum, and engaging with some groovy science concepts. I'll post pictures of our decomposing bananas soon. We've also adopted two crayfish, thanks to the keen eye of one of the kids.

Monday Folders are light this week. I am returning several weeks worth of reading practice pages, many of which did not receive full credit because of incomplete work. When language packets such as this are returned to the kids, they have the opportunity to complete the assignments in question. Completed packets can then be resubmitted for credit.

Conferences are next week, and I sent out an email to families this morning asking them to check on their scheduled time. Please be punctual for your appointment, and please have your child come along.

The kids are responsible for the following tonight:

fourth:

- Monday Folder
- Saxon 25 (all)
- Reading Practice Book pages 86 & 87 (this week's spelling)
- Reflections review, page 73 (1-4 only)

fifth:

- Monday Folder
- Saxon 25 (all)
- Reading Practice Book pages 70 & 71 (this week's spelling)
- Reflections review, page 134 (1-5 only)

Respectfully, Mr. Bryant
