Hello all, and thanks for checking in.  Sorry about the blog snafu yesterday.  All appears to be well now.  I've updated drivers and chaperones for Elkhorn Slough and made notes regarding long-term assignments as well.  Please feel to check out the changes.

Hello all, and thanks for checking in.  We had a great discussion this afternoon about immigrants and migration, and the kids had many questions that brought up the topic of racism. They were shocked and dismayed to know that our nation's history was not always kind. If the conversations come up around the dinner table tonight, you now know where they originated.

Hello all, and welcome back from what seemed to be an extremely short Spring Break.  I spent some time landscaping my yard and building a table from an old gate door.  It was a good time, but I'd like a few more days to enjoy some sunshine.

Our first day back was a mellow one.  We are slowly building toward our efforts with artist reports and the wax museum.  The kids have selected their artists and begun their preliminary research.  We'll begin writing our body paragraphs this week before exploring the introduction and conclusion.

The kids were anxious to get their March book reports back from me today, but were disappointed to learn that I had not corrected them over the break.  March book reports will be returned next Monday, and final book reports for the year are due on April 30.
