It was writing, computers, pottery, snakes, pizza and ice cream. Really. This was our day. It was quite nice.

Wednesday

Howdy all. We've started a new reading theme entitled "Heroes", and have been crafting essays about personal heroes. With this final grading period in full swing, we'll be spending a great deal of time honing our writing skills. The kids are responsible tonight for ensuring that they are ready to share their start of their essays Thursday morning. We've spent time in class working with introduction and body paragraphs. We have not begun working with conclusions, and will not do so until after several rounds out editing. The kids are also responsible for their reading log and reading practice book page 314.

Monday and the week

Howdy all. We're off and running with a new week. We'll be working on an essay about our heroes, finishing our Gold Rush simulation and digging deeper into a our new book, Summerland.
