Hello all, and thanks for checking in.  Sorry to be posting late, however our internet was down on campus today and I am just getting home.

For some odd reason (I am working with Blogspot currently), I am unable to update next week's conference schedule.  I hope to have the issue resolved soon so that I can offer you an accurate schedule.

The kids have an odd assortment of assignments today, and they are as follows:

- if a nature log entry was not completed last night, it is due no later than Friday
- the final Island of the Blue Dolphins quiz went home with the kids tonight.  Some were able to complete their efforts in class. Those who were unable to finish were asked to take them home.  They are due Friday morning.

Hello all, and thank you for checking in.  Our efforts with Team Time have been very rewarding this week, and the kids are working well in their respective groups. 

The library will be hosting our annual Book Fair next week during conferences.  The kids will be going home with catalogs on Thursday, and we will be previewing the fair on Friday.  Parents are needed to help staff the fair.  If you are interested and have the time to spare, please drop me a line and I will pass your name along to the librarian.

Hello families, and thanks for checking in.  We held our first classroom auction this afternoon, and the kids were wacky to spend their classroom money on some fun items.  We will hold reward auctions at the end of each month.

Howdy all, and thank you for checking in. If you've not scheduled a conference for next week, please contact me at your earliest convenience so we may make arrangements. 
Today was our first effort with RTI (Team Time) for the school year.  The groups worked very well.  If your child has not informed you of their classroom placement, a note went home in the Blue Folders today.
We will be wrapping up our efforts with Island of the Blue Dolphins this week, and assessing our knowledge of the book on Friday (written) and next Monday (AR).  To get into the mood for Halloween, we'll be reading Roald Dahl's The Witches next.

Tuesday, 9/24

Hello all, and thank you for checking in.  We held our class elections this afternoon.  The class was impressed with the speeches of all who ran, and the voting was close.  In the end, both Malia and Kylie were voted to represent the class on our Student Leadership Board.  The kids will be meeting monthly with staff to plan and implement spirit days, community events and fundraisers.

Monday, 9/23

Hello all, and thanks for checking in.  This is our last full week together before the implementation of RTI next Monday.  Again, I will be sending home notices regarding your child's RTI teacher in next week's Blue Folder.  This week's Blue Folders are light, but please check out the "Drive for Schools" raffle information.
