Monday and the week

Howdy all. Well, STAR tests are upon us, and we'll venture into the language portion this week and close out with math next week. Testing is often a very stressful time for the kids and I will do my best to keep the environment a relaxed one. The school has been kind enough to bring healthy snacks for the classrooms, and I usually make cocoa for our eager little bubble-filler-inners. I let the kids chew gum during test time, so if they'd like to bring it, these are the only two weeks that I let it slide. I even picked up some packs of Trident at Target over the weekend to share. Please make sure the kids are to school on time each day, as I will be setting aside the first two school hours strictly for testing. We'll be testing on Tuesdays and Fridays for the next two weeks. Please make sure the kids have a healthy breakfast each morning and get to bed at a reasonable hour each night.

I will be sending home Orange Folders on Tuesday. Sorry, but I have some grading to do before they go out.

Finally, many of you have inquired about the science project presentation. There is no need to purchase poster board, etc., as each child was sent home with a manila folder which is to be used for the presentation. If you are in need of another, please let me know and I will be happy to send another home.

Tonight, the kids are responsible for the following:

-math 101
-science check-in...just a quick sentence or two letting me know your progress
-reading log

Respectfully, Mr. B
