Tuesday and testing

Howdy all, and thanks for checking in on this damp day. Math testing went off without a hitch this morning, and the kids walked away feeling confident with themselves and their work. Instead of waiting three days to finish the material on Friday, we'll be completing the math portion tomorrow morning. We will hopefully sidestep some of that testing anxiety by getting it out of the way.

The science projects are looking very good. The kids will begin to share their work tomorrow, and we will have a 4th grade science fair on Friday so that the classes can share their work with each other.

Each year I have the class work on a school beautification project. Last year we completed the monarch mural, with a surfer and the California bear flag happening in previous years. In keeping with our local California theme, the class has voted to paint a mural of the Seacliff Pier and the cement ship. We'll be completing the mural during the last two weeks of school, but will be auctioning off a dedication for the piece at Friday's Boots & Buckles dinner!

Have a great day, Mr. B
