We've Got the Power!

Howdy all, and thank you for checking in.  We have been experimenting with electricity these past few weeks and the kids had a good time this afternoon trying to create working circuits.  We will be working with electricity for the remainder of the month before we move into our food chain studies.

Lots of goodies in the Blue Folders today, including information on our upcoming aquarium trip. Please try to return all required paperwork to school by this Friday.  We are very fortunate to have a parent volunteer their services everyday after school this week in helping parent volunteers get fingerprinted (as required by new district safety protocols).

Hello all, and thank you for checking in.  The class worked very hard on their first literature quiz this morning, and the results were impressive (as the class averaged an 87%).  They also seemed confident with their math quiz, and I will share their results with you early next week.  The kids should be prepared for tomorrow's spelling quiz.  Please also ensure that Blue Folders are returned to school each week.

Hello all, and thank you for checking in.  I'm sure the kids have told you about scheduled aquarium trip, and I am also sure that you received an email from the school last night regarding TB tests and fingerprinting requirements for classroom and field trip volunteers.  The school is working on making this testing process and easy one, as we want your help.  I will be sending home paperwork with permission slips later this week.

Monday 8/26

Hello all, and thank you for checking in.  The class is settling into a routine after our first week together, and we seem to working well.  Blue folders are making their way home with the kids this afternoon.  I did not grade last week's work, with the exception of Friday's spelling quiz.  Normally, a red stamped 'B' will be printed on assignments that I have logged in my grade book.  You'll note a space to acknowledge receipt of the Blue Folder on a weekly basis, as well as various means by which to contact me.  Please ensure that Blue Folders are returned no later than Friday of each week.
