Thursday & Friday

Howdy all, and thanks for checking in. It was great to see those of you who could make it last night for Open House. We are all a little bit sleep today after the fun.

The California reports / presentations have been very nice. The kids have been very respectful of each other and have offered heaps of praise upon each other for their knowledge and efforts. We've gone through 19 of them in last two days and will wrap them up tomorrow.

We are in need to two permission slips and $10 for the KOA trip on June 3rd. If Navid and Jalen could get those in by Friday, it would be much appreciated.

FInally, I am sending the kids home with two additional consent forms today. Each is entirely self-explanatory, but need to be returned ASAP.

Have a great afternoon, Mr. Bryant

Howdy all. Just a quick reminder that Wednesday night brings us Open House! It will run from 6:30 - 8, with the 5th graders serving burritos staring @ 5:30 and the 4th graders hosting a bake sale! Come visit!

Take care, Mr. B

The week

Howdy all, and thanks for checking in. We are down to twelve days of school left. I have been breathing deeply, and am encouraging the kids to do the same. We are all very anxious to be through with our year!

The California report presentation schedule is listed under "projects" on the blog. Sorry, I completely spaced on posting it Friday. Must have been the anticipation of the weekend.

Open House is this Wednesday evening from 6:30 - 8. The kids are anxious to share their work with everyone. Please come by and say hello.

Finally, we are still needing a few permission slips / $10 for the KOA trip on June 3rd. Sorry to name names, by the following need to turn in slips ASAP:

permission slip & $10 from: Aleks B., Jalen, Lucas, Navid & Patrick
$10 from (already have permission slip): Lindsay & Ryan

Respectfully, Mr. Bryant

Lice and stuff

Howdy all, and thanks for checking in. It looks as if lice is making the rounds again at school, and there have been several affected classrooms. Possible exposure notices went home with the kids today. Please read over them for further information.

Please continue to work on California Reports. Everything is due Monday. Again, a presentation schedule for next week will be posted here tomorrow.

For those that have not submitted KOA permission slips and funds, please do so immediately. We are still shy a few students at this point.

Respectfully, Mr. Bryant

The week

Howdy all, and thanks for checking in. The blog was down yesterday, so I will apologize for the lapse in consistency. It was beyond my control.

The kids should be focusing their energies toward their respective California Report. They have had the materials to work with this for well over three weeks, and it concerns me that many of the kids have yet to even begin their writing. I will be posting a presentation schedule for their oral reports on Friday. Presentations will be Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of next week. However, written reports and visual aides are due in the classroom on Monday.

Have a great day, Mr. B

Monday and the week

Howdy all, and thanks for checking in.

We are coming down to the wire in these last few weeks of school.

We have officially finished working in our Saxon math book, and will segue into review and accelerated work during these last few weeks. The kids will be taking their final math assessment on Friday.

We are a quarter of the way through our final literature piece, and will finish it by the end of next week. The class will have a quiz on chapters 1 - 4 on Wednesday.

California reports are due next week, so I won't be sending home regular homework. I would hope that the kids would focus their energies on compiling and completing their writing so as not to spend next weekend cramming to get everything done.

Orange Folders are light on returned work because of the last two weeks of testing. Please be sure to look out for several notices from the school regarding Bullying and Open House activities.

If you have yet to return your child's permission slip and $10 for the end of the year KOA day, please do so as soon as possible. I'll have extra forms at Open House for those who need them again.

Respectfully, Mr. Bryant

Wednesday & Thursday

Howdy all, and thanks for checking in. We have officially completed our State testing, and the kids are thrilled. I won't be assigning homework for the remainder of this week, as the kids should be focusing on their California reports.

Have a great afternoon, Mr. B
